Itinerary

Day 1A Warm Welcome to Cairo

After a smooth flight, your private representative will extend a warm welcome to you upon your arrival in Cairo and assist you with a hassle-free arrival. Your private modern A/C van will transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 2Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & the Grand Egyptian Museum

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a journey in a modern, private, AC vehicle to The Giza Plateau. A private Egyptologist will take you on a tour to visit the Great Pyramid Area. Then, you will visit the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx, where you can pose for unrivaled photos to share with your friends and family. It’s time for a delicious Egyptian meal made with love and oriental flavors at a restaurant with an overlooking view of the pyramids.
Our quest for Egypt’s pharaonic history in Cairo would not be fulfilled without visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, the first museum to display the breathtaking full tomb collection of King Tutankhamun, which includes about 5000 items. After your visit, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3Cairo / Luxor (East Bank of Luxor)

After a nice breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to say goodbye to Cairo. You will take your private A/C van to the airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. After a smooth arrival, you will embark on an original cultural tour to visit the East bank of Luxor, the central part of Luxor township, centered on the twin foci of the Temple of Luxor and the Karnak Temples. Your Egyptologist will take you on a tour through ancient history, starting with Karnak Temples, the second most visited site in Egypt, believed to be the largest religious worship site in the world. Moving on to Luxor Temple, which was once connected to Karnak Temples through Luxor dromos, an avenue of human-headed sphinxes. The temple was dedicated to the Theban triad Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4West Bank of Luxor

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then your private A/C van will be waiting for you to take you on a visit to the West Bank of Luxor. Your first stop will be at the Valley of the Kings, where generations of Pharaohs and Nobles were buried in crypts cut into the cliffs. Then, you will visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple, which is built at the eastern face of the Theban Mountain as if nature had built this extraordinary monument. Finally, visit the great two statues, Colossi of Memnon; these two gigantic statues represent King Amenophis III seated on a cube-shaped throne. Transfer to your Dahabeya for a memorable sail through the Nile in a voyage into the past combined with an authentic cultural experience and a welcoming crew. As you leisurely sail in tranquility with no engine aboard, enjoy a flavorsome lunch on board. After about 5 hours, you will have arrived at El-Hegaz Island. You will go for a joyful walking tour through the Egyptian countryside with fresh air and serenity, arriving at a local house to immerse in a genuine cultural experience with a local welcoming family, sharing different stories and life experiences. Finally, enjoy your dinner on board and have a relaxed sleep as the Dahabeya sails.

Day 5Tour at El Kab & Edfu

Your next Dahabeya stop will be at El-Kab, named “Nekheb” in the Egyptian Coptic language, referring to the goddess “Nekhbet.” You will take a donkey ride to prehistoric and ancient Egyptian settlements, rock-cut tombs of the early Eighteenth Dynasty. El-Kab may be described as a bay between sandstone cliffs to the north and south. Afterwards, you will continue your sailing adventure to the temple of Horus at Edfu. For the night, you will enjoy a Barbeque dinner the Egyptian way, at Fawaza Island, where the boat will moor for an exquisite overnight.

Day 6Bisaw Island, Gabel El Selsela

The following day, you will visit “Bisaw island and village,” where you experience an off-the-beaten-track local tour with Egyptian fishermen. You will get to help fishermen catch delicious fish in the Nile and meet with locals and share heart-to-heart conversations with them, learning about their lifestyle in a remote Egyptian village. The next Dahabeya stop will be at “Gebel El-Silsila,” where the stones for the temples in Egypt were quarried. This gorge marks the point at which the underlying bedrock of Egypt changes from limestone to sandstone. Afterwards, it’s time to get hands-on cooking experience from a professional chef onboard and learn how to cook authentic Egyptian & Nubian dishes for your loved ones. Continue sailing through the Nile for your breathtaking tour at Kom Ombo.

Day 7A Unique Visit to Kom Ombo & Daraw’s Camel Market

Today, you will start with a special visit to the double sanctuary temple of Kom Ombo, which is picturesquely situated on the riverbank. Your Egyptologist will share with you the story behind that temple being dedicated to two Gods: the crocodile representing God Sobek as well as the Falcon representing God Haroeris. Then, as you sail to Aswan, you will have a mesmerizing experience at Daraw town. Daraw is an idyllic village, where you will get to see for the first time a traditional Camel Market. About 2000 camels are transported in a 40-day journey by road in caravans from Sudan through the Sahara Desert to Daraw town, which makes the village very popular in the region. Enjoy a local walking tour through the village and get to see genuine artifacts at the local markets before you return to the Dahabeya to continue your sailing journey to Aswan, arrive Aswan, take a motorboat to visit Philae temple, back to your Dahabeya and overnight.

Day 8Flight Aswan/Cairo (Fayoum Oasis)

Disembarkation after breakfast, then transfer to Aswan airport for a domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our private representative will meet and assist you for a transfer by private A/C van to El Fayoum oasis, for an ecological tour experience. Check in at a hotel in Tunis village. Overnight.

Day 9Wadi Hitan Safari

Breakfast at the hotel, then a 4X4 Jeep car & guide will be waiting for you to start your safari to visit Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales), about 90 km far from Fayoum. Wadi Hitan or Valley of the Whales is located in the Protected Area of Wadi El Rayan and it was designated by UNESCO, as a world Heritage Site in recognition of the 40 million year –old whale skeletons found there ,back to the hotel & overnight

Day 10Fayoum Oasis / Cairo (Home Hosted Dinner)

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, visit Wadi El Rayan Water Falls & Magic Lake. Then, transfer back to Cairo.
In the evening, enjoy a complimentary home-hosted dinner with an Egyptian family. Get to know more about modern Egyptian lifestyle. Overnight in Cairo.
