Itinerary

Day 1Cairo Arrival

Welcome to Cairo! After a smooth flight, a representative will receive you with a warm welcome and assist you with a hassle-free arrival. You will then be transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Day 2Cairo

Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum

This morning, you will begin your tour of the Cairo area at the Giza Plateau, which contains the most spectacular buildings in Egypt: the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.

Then visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo which contain more than 100,000 objects of historical importance, the most famous being the collection of King Tutankhamon.

Day 3Cairo – Luxor – Nile River cruise

It’s time to say goodbye to Cairo. You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport in good time for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will head straight to your first tour

The East Bank

Today you will visit the magnificent temples of Luxor. You will spend the day on the East Bank of the Nile river, which is home to the simply astounding Karnak and Luxor temples. This complex is the largest place of worship ever built, a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. This history-packed area is actually a series of temples, chapels, and other buildings, built by different pharaohs during different years. Walk through these complexes in awe of their massive scale and remarkably preserved walls.

After a full day exploring the ancient temples of Luxor, you will be transferred to the port where you will embark on your Nile River Cruise adventure! Enjoy a delicious lunch on board, followed by time to unwind and spend at your leisure. This evening, prepare for a nice dinner

Day 4Nile River Cruise

Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple, & Colossi of Memnon

Enjoy a yummy breakfast on the cruise as you sail to your next destination. Today you will visit Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon. You will start the day by visiting the West Bank of Luxor, with your first stop at Valley of the Kings. For generations, Pharaohs and Nobles were buried in crypts that would cut into the cliffs. You will then visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple located in the eastern face of the Theban Mountain. Finally, visit the Colossi of Memnon, these two gigantic statues represent King Amenophis III seated on a cube-shaped throne.

When your tour is done, enjoy lunch & dinner on the cruise, as you sail on to Edfu.

Day 5Nile River Cruise

Kom Ombo & Edfu

Rise and shine! Enjoy breakfast on board while you sail to Edfu. There you will see the huge temple dedicated to the god Horus. While you admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile, you will continue on to Kom Ombo- to visit the unusual double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and Haroeris. Your Egyptologist will share with you the story behind the temple being dedicated to the two Gods. After the tour, enjoy the remainder of the day on the cruise…relax and enjoy the ride.

Day 6Abu Simbel – Aswan

After breakfast, you will be picked from your cruise and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, you will make your way to your tour

The Two Temples of Abu Simbel

As one of the few ancient Egyptian sites which largely escaped damage by past invaders, the interiors of Abu Simbel’s temples are astounding. The scale of the buildings and their and details will leave you in awe. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Temple of Ramsses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramsses II himself. The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramsses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one.

After the visit, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon landing in Aswan, you will be transferred back to your Nile River Cruise ship .

Day 7Nile River Cruise Disembarkation – Aswan – Cairo

Philae Temple Tour

Unfortunately, it is time to disembark from your Nile Cruise. Enjoy your last breakfast on the Nile River while you take in all of its beauty and ancient culture. After breakfast, disembark from the boat and transfer to Isis Temple (Philae Temple) at Agilka island, via a motor boat. This temple is believed to be one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt and you will be able to explore it through guided and individual exploration.

After your time at the temple, you will continue on to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Cairo Hotel. Relax until your evening activities. 

Day 8Cairo – Istanbul

Although it is time to say goodbye to Egypt, the adventure continues! After checking out of your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in good time for your flight to Istanbul.

Welcome to Turkey! Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your accommodations. Relax and overnight

Day 9Istanbul

Today you will leave your hotel at 08:30AM to visit the old square to see some of the major highlights, such as The Roman Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. Enjoy a lovely local lunch in the historic area and get lost in the byways of the historic peninsula. Explore the old bazaars, and historic cemeteries, art galleries, historic coffee joints as well as meeting the artisans

Day 10Istanbul - Cappadocia

Early this morning, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in good time for your flight to Kayseri (Cappadocia) located in the center of Turkey. Upon arrival, you will be brought to your hotel before your afternoon tour commences.

Full Day Guided Tour

Today, you will walk to Uchisar Castle, an impressive rock formation long use by locals as a castle. It offers a superb panorama of the surrounding area. Continue to hike through the Love Valley, famous for its magical fairy chimneys as well as explore the Goreme Open Air Museum with its excellent examples of Byzantine rural art. You will finish the day with a stop at a local carpet factory. Turks started making knotted carpets in the 5th century BC in Central Asia and they have been given as highly prestigious gifts since medieval ages, back to the hotel & overnight

Day 11Cappadocia

Sunrise Hot Air Balloon & Red Valley Hike

Rise and shine! Early this morning around 5:00AM (this time will be determined by the balloon outfitter the day before around 6:00PM), you will be taken to the launching spot for your hot-air balloon ride, one of the most beautiful experiences in Cappadocia. Afterwards, you will be taken back to your hotel for a delicious breakfast.

 You’ll continue your day with a hike through the picturesque Red Valley. With its high walls and narrow canyons, it may remind you of the American Southwest. Our hike passes ancient monasteries and churches as we make our way back towards Goreme. Cappadocia has dozens of subterranean towns, but the most impressive are Kaymakli and Derinkuyu. These elaborate settlements are up to eight stories deep (only yet partially excavated) with a tangle of tunnels leading to churches, private living quarters, storage areas, deep water wells, carved chimneys for air shafts and even wine producing chambers.

This area of Cappadocia is well known for its pottery, and this afternoon we may stop to visit a local studio to learn more about this ancient art. 

Day 12Cappadocia – Ephesus

This morning you will be transferred to the airport in good time for your flight to !!!!. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven 1 hour to the Ephesus area to start exploring as the time permits. Check in at the hotel & overnight

Day 13 Ephesus

Start today’s tour with a visit to St John Basilica Church in order to have an overall view of the area. We also visit the impressive museum of Ephesus, and Artemission, which was rated as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. See the House of Virgin Mary, which is authenticated by the Vatican as a pilgrimage destination. Virgin Mary was entrusted to St. John the apostle and probably came to Ephesus with him. We eat at Sirince village at a traditional restaurant. This unique village is under preservation and famous for its nice architecture, wineries and olive oil. The highlight of the day is the great Ephesus. We will walk the marble streets, admire the library, the temples and imagine the big riot against St Paul in the 25,000 seat Roman Theater. 

Day 14 final departure

Check out from the hotel , transfer to the airport for final departure
